FAQs

What is an escape room?

An escape room is a live-action game where a team of players works together to discover clues, solve puzzles, and complete tasks within a limited time to accomplish a specific mission.

The experience transports players into a unique storyline. You and your group will need to crack codes, uncover hidden items, interact with characters, and solve puzzles to succeed.

Escape rooms are perfect for friends, families, or coworkers looking to break away from ordinary activities and dive into a thrilling, story-driven adventure.

Are the rooms scary?

Most of our experiences are not scary. We are not a haunted house.

The Cellar 2: Dead End is our scary game if that’s what you’re looking for, but it’s not overly scary.

The Vault is mostly played in the dark with flashlights, but there are no scares.

What if I am claustrophobic?

Not an issue. The games are large and the doors are never locked so you can exit at any time during the game.

Will I be locked in the room?

For fire safety and safety in general, players are never locked in the rooms. You can use the restroom, take phone calls, etc., but the game timer will not stop.

Do I need to have any special skills or be good at math?

Nope. Just be observant and rely on your teammates. Your game host will be watching through cameras and are able to help with hints and nudges when needed.

Will this be too hard for a beginner?

Not at all! Our escape rooms are designed to be enjoyable for all adults and most teens (even clever youngsters), whether you’re new to escape rooms or a seasoned puzzle enthusiast. Plus, there’s a built-in hint system to help along the way. While victory isn’t guaranteed, an enjoyable experience certainly is!

Will I be playing with strangers?

All of our bookings are private so you’ll be playing the games only with your group.

How many people can play at once?

Each room has a maximum number of players.

The Vault – max 10 players

The Inheritance – max 8 players

Doomsday Disaster – max 5 players

The Cellar 2: Dead End – max 10 players

Space Pirates – max 6 players

For large groups, we can run games simultaneously hosting up to 48 players.

Is there an age limit?

Our games are open to participants of all ages, but some rooms may be too intense for kids under 13. We recommend 14+ due to the complexity and depth of the challenges you will encounter.

Players under 16 must be joined in the game by at least one adult (18 or older) who has also purchased a ticket.

If you have a youth group, please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements.

If you have children under the age of 5 they must be in a stroller or carried the ENTIRE time inside of the game. The games and location are not child-proofed and we are not responsible for any injuries.

Are your games wheelchair accessible?

We are located on the second and third floors. There is an elevator that will take your group to the second floor, but only stairs go to the third floor.

The current games on the second floor are The Cellar 2: Dead End and Doomsday Disaster.

Do I need a reservation?

While it’s not necessary, we highly recommend making a reservation on this siute to secure your preferred room and time slot. Walk-ins are welcome, but we can’t guarantee immediate availability for your group.

Please note that all games are removed from our online booking schedule an hour before they are set to begin, whether they are fully booked or not. If you want to play a game within that hour window and haven’t made a reservation, please call us directly.

Are there refunds for cancellations?

If you have to cancel your booking, we request that you notify us (via email or phone call) 48 hours in advance. This gives us the opportunity to fill the time slot.

We will issue a full refund if a notice of at least 48 hours before a scheduled booking is requested.

We may also suggest that we hold the reservation without expiration until you can find a new booking time that works.

Please be advised that cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled booking will not be refunded, but will be offered an opportunity to reschedule their booking if the notice is 24 hours before a scheduled booking.

What if I need to reschedule the game?

If you need to reschedule your booking, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance, either via email or a phone call.

Upon giving adequate notice, we’ll do our best to move your booking to a different date or time, depending on availability.

Note that each booking is allowed only one change, so ensure the new date and time works for everyone in your group. You cannot receive a refund for a rescheduled booking.

What if I am not sure how many people will attend with me?

We have a minimum of two players for all of our games. Make the booking for two and the rest of your group can pay when they arrive.

How can we book a large group?

If you have a large group, you can book your games normally. If you are looking for special times or to start games concurrently, give us a call or send us an email.

Can we reserve a game outside of your regular business hours?

Yes, we can set up games outside of normal hours. Please contact us with the desired date, time, and number of players in your group so we can make arrangements.

Where can I park?

The easiest entrance to take is the door with the 1005 over it, off of Main Street.

There is often street parking. There is also a small lot across the street adjacent to the 999 entrance.

If there is an event at Hope Artiste Village or the MET, it may be difficult to find parking close. There is a huge parking lot in the back of the building. From there, walk to Main Street to enter the building.

When should my group arrive?

Groups should arrive 15 minutes prior to their reservation time. This allows for time to sign the waivers and use the restrooms.

If you arrive late, our team will do their best to accommodate you for your experience. Unfortunately, we operate under a schedule of games where we need to keep up with our start times for all guests.

If you and your team arrive after the clock starts, you’ll be allowed to enter the game, but we cannot guarantee the full 60-minute allotted experience time.

Your confirmation email does state to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled game time, accounting for any delays due to travel or traffic. There will be no refunds given to late arrivals.

If you expect to arrive later than 15 minutes before your game time, please call us as soon as possible

If I'm late, can I still play?

If you are just a few minutes late, we can accommodate your group. If you are over 10 minutes late, we may have to deduct time from your game so the group after you can start on time. If you are late by 20 minutes or more, we may have to cancel your game. There are no refunds if you’re late.

Will I be able to bring my phone and belongings into the room?
